You can make a lasting difference in a child’s life! Impact is seeking Christian adults to mentor children for one hour a week for the upcoming school year. The meetings are held on the Impact campus on Monday nights or Sunday afternoons and no experience with children is required. This hour of your week can create space for a lasting bond of love and friendship with an at-risk child.
The Impact youth staff would love to have intimate relationships that train and equip every kid at Impact but it just is not possible with the 175 kids that come year-round and over 400 that attend during the summer. That’s where you come in!
Who:
You will be matched with a girl or boy between the 2nd and 4th grades, with whom you will commit to having a mentoring relationship with for at least one year. If you choose to recommit, you will move up with your child for as many years as you are willing and able, even up to high school graduation! The transforming work God could do with a relationship like that is unimaginable!
When:
There are two possible time slots during the week in which you can meet with your child, the primary option being Monday evenings from 6 – 8 pm. We ask that you find one hour during those times that best fits your schedule and commit that time to your child each week.
Where and How:
Your meeting times with your child will be held on the Impact campus. You will begin each week with a short discussion that we provide and then you are free to play! We will have cards and board games available for use as well as grassy areas and a basketball court on
campus. We want that hour to be stress-and-preparation-free for our mentors, so we will provide a small amount of structure and many games; the main focus is just to show up and spend time together!

Many of Impact’s children grow up in one-parent homes or in disadvantaged circumstances, and this is a simple yet powerful opportunity to make an ETERNAL difference in their lives!
