PLEASE CLICK HERE TO LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON ATTENDING THIS SUNDAY SO WE CAN PROPERLY PREPARE.
The Impact eldership has decided to restart both Spanish and English on-site worship services beginning Sunday, May 17th. We will stagger the start times of the Spanish and English speaking services to reduce the number of people in the building at one time. We have scheduled time to clean between services.
- Spanish-speaking service will be from 10:30-11:30am.
- English-speaking service will be from 12:00-1:00pm.
We appreciate the patience and love you have extended to one another as we navigate these unprecedented times. We’re excited to meet together in person again – it has been far too long since we’ve seen each other’s faces!
We want to affirm those who are hesitant to expose themselves to the virus or those at higher risk of serious complications in their efforts to continue social distancing. The elders are asking those at higher risk and in contact with others at higher risk to stay home. We will make every effort to have worship services and encouraging messages available online for those who cannot participate in person.
We are diligently taking several steps to help keep each other safe:
- Chairs will be cleaned and disinfected before and after services
- All high traffic areas will be disinfected frequently
- Chairs will be spaced far enough apart to maintain social distancing guidelines.
- Masks, though not required, are encouraged and will be provided for those who want them. Bring your own if you are able
- There will be no van routes, Bible classes or fellowship lunch
The next two weeks before we meet will be telling as the country attempts to reopen businesses and churches. We will be monitoring all government advisories closely and will make adjustments accordingly. Please look for updates to this announcement on our website, Facebook page, and through email. We love you and appreciate you greatly! May God be with us all today and always.
We’d like to invite you to join us on the Impact Facebook page at 11:30 this Sunday (5/17/20) for a worship service in English and at 12:00 for a message and communion time in Spanish as we worship our risen Lord, Jesus, together, as well as a “Kids Corner.” The services will continue to be available on the Impact Facebook page and the Impact website in case you miss them. Let’s join together in prayer, worship, and remembrance of our Lord during this difficult time!
Impact Office will resume normal operating hours beginning Monday, May 4 – 9:00am-5:00pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00am-12:00pm on Fridays.
The Impact Resource Center WILL continue to distribute food. We will now serve individuals and families once every two weeks instead of once a month. We’ll be open Tuesdays 9:00am-10:30am and Wednesdays 6:30pm-8:00pm. Safety protocols will continue to be followed. For everyone’s safety, please stay in your car, keep your windows rolled up, and open your trunk. Continue to pray for the safety and well-being of our staff, and share this with those you know who are in need of help with food!
Sunday morning Worship Service at Impact and Sunday Evening Worship Services at Lindale are changed from public assemblies at Impact Houston and Impact Lindale to online services (worship, communion, and a sermon) via Impact’s Facebook page and website until 5/17/20 when on-site services will resume. Communion sets are still available if needed.
All Mid-Week Bible Studies and Meals, on and off-campus, are canceled through June 1. These include the Liberty Island, Garden Oaks Adult Activity Center, Highland Park, Independence Hall, and Forgotten Sinners Bible studies, all youth and children’s classes and mentoring, English and Spanish-speaking midweek bible studies, South Houston Bible Institute classes, and any other mid-week gatherings.
