Hope’s Story

Hope Dailey first came to Impact in 2013 as a kindergartener, alongside her twin sister, Faith. Their mother signed them up for summer VBS, and from that summer forward they grew up at Impact—through VBS, Bible classes, small groups, mentoring, and Sunday worship.

Even as a child, Hope stood out—remembering names, connecting easily with others, and showing a love for community. Like many kids, she made mistakes, faced consequences, and had countless “heart-to-hearts” with ministers and leaders about her choices, but she never stopped showing up. She always knew she was loved at Impact, and she grew into a young woman who now pours that same love into others.

This past summer, just after high school graduation, Hope served as Assistant Director of VBS—a role usually reserved for seasoned college interns—and she excelled. She also works as a substitute teacher at Small Steps Nurturing Center, a Christ-centered preschool originally founded by Impact. Most meaningfully, Hope is now a mentor in Impact’s children’s mentoring program—the very program that once mentored her.

On Thursday nights, she rallies kids from her apartment complex—calling parents, gathering friends, and making sure no one misses the bus to Bible class. Just as others once poured into her, she now pours into the next generation.

God has taken the spark of a quick, funny six-year-old girl and magnified it into a bright light—leading, mentoring, and pointing others to Him. Hope’s story is a living picture of how God turns little into much.
