Impact Mentoring Update

by Tyler Lemmons

As we close out another year of Impact Mentoring, we’re grateful for the steady relationships and community that continue to form through this program. This year, we welcomed a number of new mentors who brought fresh energy and ideas, while returning mentors provided the steady example of what years-long, consistent relationships can look like. Together, these pairs are building trust and connection, one week at a time.
Many of our mentor-mentee pairs took on monthly mentoring goals, which gave structure and purpose to their time together. These goals ranged from cooking and trying new sports, to Bible verse memorization and participating in service projects. Each goal created a chance to grow in relationship while learning and having fun. We wrapped up the year with our first-ever Mentoring Talent Show during our end-of-year party. It was a simple but meaningful night, full of laughter and encouragement. A few pairs chose to sing or dance, and it was especially meaningful to see several mentors joining in and participating with their mentees.
What continues to make this program so impactful is its simplicity: an hour a week, showing up with consistency and care. These small moments, repeated over time, build something lasting. We’re thankful for each mentor, mentee, and supporter who makes this program possible.
