Middle School Winter Retreat 2025

This year’s middle school winter retreat was an unforgettable weekend as we welcomed 48 students to “Boot Camp,” where we learned what it means to be part of God’s army. The focus of the weekend was Ephesians 6:13-17, where we explored the armor of God through engaging Bible studies, small group discussions, and exciting scavenger hunt challenges to “earn” each piece of our armor. Beyond the spiritual growth, we enjoyed plenty of fun activities like archery, volleyball, kickball, and making s’mores by the fire. These moments of joy and laughter not only brought us closer together, but hopefully helped to build bonds and strengthen us spiritually with tools that will last well beyond the retreat.
One of the best parts of the retreat was the opportunity to step away from the business of everyday life and spend the weekend at Camp of the Hills in fellowship. This was such an amazing way to launch into 2025 with a refreshing spiritual reset. It was truly inspiring to see some of our youth who once attended as campers now serving as leaders, encouraging me to notice the lasting impact these retreats can have. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the 21 incredible adult volunteers who made this weekend possible. Their dedication, service, and love for the students glorify God in the most tangible way. It truly would not have been possible without their amazing support and help! What an incredible picture of the body of Christ serving and fighting this battle together. Praise and glory to Him for an amazing weekend that reminded us all of what truly matters!
