Through the Fire
by Paul Bailey
Summer is a busy time for our high school youth here at Impact. Together we worship God, we give him thanks, we serve others, and we sweat in the name of Jesus! We spent somewhere around 17,000 minutes together this summer.
“Through the fire” was the high school summer theme. We talked about how God is a consuming fire, God is with us through the fire, and how God wants us to spread the fire (be the light). We serve a great God and we need to show him to others.
We were able to do so by serving a week at the Arms of Hope Medina campus and at nearby schools, fire stations, and other organizations. The fire of God is in us and we wanted to spread it!
It only takes ONE minute to make an Impact in someone’s life, and in 17,000 minutes many people’s lives changed for the better. My prayer is that we continue to let God consume us, and show others how good God is; one minute at a time.
