A Seed that Bore Fruit after Many Years

I met Lidia about 10 years ago. She came to get food at our Resource Center, and after the Bible study she told me that she wanted to talk to me. She told me that her husband was about to get out of jail because he had beaten her and her children, and that she wanted to study the Bible. I began studying with them every week, but after a few weeks they disappeared and I lost track of them.
Recently one couple, who I also met through our Resource Center and who have been faithfully attending church ever since, invited me to visit their daughter’s house. They told me she was very sick, had recently had her right leg amputated, and had also lost part of her other foot. On top of that, her husband had abandoned her. I went with her parents to her house and brought her food, and to my surprise saw that it was Lidia, the same woman who I had studied with years ago. After that meeting she began attending Impact, and the whole family later decided to be baptized for the forgiveness of her sins and to begin a new life in Christ.
I cannot predict the results of this work. Only God in his wonderful plan knows the path of each person. In the ten years I went without seeing Lidia she suffered many health issues, but now, however, she has the salvation of her soul, along with those of her son and parents. Glory be to God!
