Let’s Go

The wise man Solomon wrote in the book of Ecclesiastes that there is a time and a season for everything under the sun. This is the season for new beginnings. God has shown much grace to the Impact family during the time of COVID-19, and now as we move forward God has graced us again with much favor.

I am super excited about the upcoming summer program for the outdoorsman Ministry. However, there is much to be thankful for over the past year as it relates to the men and women whom our ministry serves. As we opened our ministry to the outdoorsman back up in early September 2020 God blessed us to not be rained out on any occasion up until the point where we could reasonably re-enter the outdoorsman area in our building. God blessed us with resources both Physical and spiritual, as well as human resources. There is so much to recount about what God has done for the outdoorsmen ministry but I don’t have space to tell at all. We have visited Outdoorsmen camps on many occasions passing out food, water, sleeping bags, and underwear. We have held four major events On our basketball courts outside without weather interfering at any time. God has gifted us with mini outside partners who have a heart for the outdoorsmen. We have received blessings upon blessings upon blessings, most of which have not cost Impact one penny. We hosted COVID-19 testing drives for the homeless last summer with the help of the mayor’s office and congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, we hosted major food events, and Holiday events which served Hundreds of outdoorsmen. I could go on and on and on about what God has done during this time of COVID-19.

We are again filled with anticipation about The events we have planned for this summer and the fall. There will be a drug seminar, there will once again be food drives and clothing giveaways, and we will once again partner with the mayors office and other organizations with whom God has granted us much favor. I now invite all of you, the Impact family, to join in our mission to bring the light and love of Jesus Christ to the outdoorsmen of Houston Texas.
